Aubry is a full time dog trainer
who has over 10 years of professional experience training
clients of all backgrounds and dogs of all ages, shapes and
sizes. Aubry has worked with all breeds of dogs from the smallest
Chihuahua to the largest Great Dane and has extensive experience
working with all types of issues including separation anxiety,
aggression, barking, chewing, biting, jumping, leash reactivity,

Aubry’s training philosophy
promotes the use of positive and progressive training techniques
to help you, the client, develop a strong relationship with
your canine companion. Her goal is to help you resolve any
and all behavioral or obedience issues your dog may have in
a productive and dog-friendly manner. She achieves this by
arming you with scientific facts on how dogs think and communicate
and by providing you with internationally accepted humane
forms of training to empower you to truly become the leader
of your pack. Aubry’s training sessions provide easy, fun
and effective solutions to any issue and are privately conducted
in your home environment. Working with you and your dog in
your home environment to resolve specific problems is the
key to providing an effective learning situation because most
issues typically occur in your home or neighborhood. This
simply can not be successfully achieved in a foreign setting
such as a classroom or off-site training center. With her
years of instructional experience along with a Master of Science
in Education, Aubry is an effective educator who can easily
teach both her canine and human clients how to successfully
speak each other’s language during training sessions.
Originally from New York,
Aubry has spent many years running Tailwaggers, Inc., both
in South Florida and currently in the New York Metro and Hudson
Valley area. Each year, Aubry contributes both her time as
well as a portion of her company’s profits directly to animal
rescue organizations in order to help homeless dogs find new
homes. While in South Florida, Aubry was the recommended dog
behavior trainer for the Humane Society in Boca Raton where
she donated countless hours volunteering her training expertise
to this no-kill shelter to help dogs and puppies become adoptable.
While at the Humane Society, with the help of Aubry’s behavior
training protocols many dogs were successfully adopted.
Aubry has a Master of Science
in Education from Long Island University and a Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree from New York University. She is a professional
member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) which
represents and advances the dog training profession through
education and advocacy of internationally recognized positive
reinforcement and balanced training methods. She is also Red
Cross Certified in Canine First Aid with special experience
in seizure disorders, gastrointestinal problems, allergy issues,
natural feeding techniques and more. Aubry has also had the
great honor of learning her profession from and modeling her
training methods after, Dr. Ian Dunbar PhD, BVetMed, who is
an internationally recognized Veterinarian, animal Behaviorist,
and Dog Trainer. Over the past 35 years, Dr. Dunbar has been
a force in her profession being the first to promote off-leash
puppy socialization classes, temperament modification, and
owner-friendly and dog-friendly dog training.
Aubry provides private in-home
training and serve the NY Metro Area and Hudson Valley including
Westchester County (NY), Rockland County (NY), Putnam County
(NY), Fairfield County (CT) and parts of Orange and Dutchess
